If we choose Spain, the Europe zone will appear by default, but different zones can be created, for example, for the Canary Islands, Balearic Islands, Ceuta and Melilla, and these zones can be assigned to their respective provinces.
For example, we assign the “Canary Islands” zone to the province “Las Palmas” instead of Europe. Thus, after configuring the respective taxes, we will establish the prices based on the zone to which we ship our products, differentiating the shipping costs between the different provinces.
This type of configuration is essential for online stores in Spain because there are provinces with different taxes , in addition to the distance and type of transport that must be used so that shipments reach everywhere, something that will determine whether the shipping is more or less economical.
Fill in the Price and Weight columns from which shipping will be free and according to your needs. For example:
As you can see, in countries located in the European zone, shipping will be free with Seur for purchases of €50 or more and/or 10kg or more.
To add regional zones, go to the menu Location > Zones > Add new . Enter the name of the zone. When you select the Active option, save it.
Next, add the country . Go to the menu Location > Countries > Edit . Choose the country to which it corresponds, activate the option Contains states and save the changes.
Next, add a state in Location > State > Add New . Here you must create your state and associate it with the zone you created in region.
Finally, modify the carriers ( Transport > Carriers > Modify ). Associate the zone with a carrier and save it. Once this is done, you only have to restart the module for the changes to be seen. Now you can configure a price and minimum order weight for the carriers in the zones you have created, from which shipping will be free.
Use the number 0 to disable free shipping for conditions you do not want.
You can also perform a mass import of all the zones of a country using the Prestashop import tool, in the Localization menu. In case you want to add a national zone , you have to follow the same steps as we have previously done to create a region, except for creating a state.

Shipping costs by price
Managing shipping costs by price is one of the easiest ways to do it. In our Prestashop, go to Shipping > Preferences . A first block called Handling will appear, where we find the field “Free shipping from __ €” and, for example, we can include an amount of 50, which will mean that shipping will be free from 50 € of purchase.
Shipping costs by weight
In Prestashop it is also possible to configure shipping costs by weight , that is, based on the weight of the customer's order. We can also do this through the Preferences > Handling section, just as in the case of shipping costs by price.
Shipping costs by carrier
Shipping costs per carrier are configured via Transport > Carriers , where you can add the types you want and manage their shipping time and other parameters.
